FAQs

Why choose Village of Champions Summer Soccer Camp?

Village of Champions is a registered nonprofit that exists to empower youth through sports. Our focus is impact not profit. Our team works very hard to make all of our programs affordable, so that we can serve as many children as possible. Summer Soccer Camp is six weeks long, and the price is $100 per camper - that’s $5.55 per day! Discounts are available for groups and Soccer Club Members!

We teach children more than soccer. Our goal is to equip children with fundamental soccer and life skills. Our approach  is “soccer for life.”  We emphasize teamwork, leadership, and health. Campers learn to champions on and off of the field through focused training, team-building games, nutrition education, and healthy competition. Camp highlights include guest spearks, awards, prizes, and tryouts for the team!

Our camp is lead by outstanding Head Coaches. We believe that being a coach is not just teaching a sport. Children look up to their coaches and see them as role models and friends, that’s why our Head Coaches are licensed by the United States Soccer Federation and have gone through Coach Across America’s extensive training program for youth development and mentoring.

What should my child wear?

Gym clothes and sneakers are all your child needs! Soccer cleats, socks, and shin guards are optional. All campers will receive coupons for DICK'S Sporting Goods at the beginning of camp.

How can I receive 20% off?

Children that have participated in our free lessons for four weeks or longer are eligible for the Soccer Club Membership price of $80. If you are new to our free lessons, we suggest that you REGISTER NOW for camp to secure your child’s spot. After four weeks of participation, you will be eligible for the club price. Contact Sauni, Program Director (814) 880-5401 to process the transaction.

Can parents/guardians watch camp sessions?

Yes! We’ll have a specific area for parents/guardians to watch from so that they can observe safely. We recommend bringing a blanket or portable chair as seating will be limited. Additionally, please don’t interrupt training with comments or coaching advice for players or staff.

How will Campers be divided?

Campers are typically broken into groups based on their age. In order to find the best fit for each camper, coaches may shift children between groups based on their skills and abilities.
